Good morning Readers! As you know, we have been going through a lot recently--both good and bad. The good being the baby and all that entails. The bad, well, other things. I'm not particularly discouraged today, but I must have needed an extra boost from the Lord this morning. As I was driving to work I decided to listen to my Chris Tomlin CD rather than the Christian radio station yak about their sharathon! I'm glad I did. David and I have LOVED Chris' rendition of "Amazing Grace." It has spoken to us many a time and this morning was no exception for me. I've heard it numerous times and I thought, well, this morning I'll sing along. With tears coming to my eyes I was unable to utter a word. I was so engrossed in the amazing grace that my Father has for me, you, anyone who will accept it. I've copied the words here. It's an old familiar hymn with a few new words. Let them soak in, let the Lord bathe you in his unending mercy and grace this morning. It doesn't matter how long you've known the Lord or maybe you're not a Christian yet, but the words are powerful, and I dare you to read them and leave unchanged today!
Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone)
Chris Tomlin
Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind, but now I see
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, Amazing grace
The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God, Who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine
You are forever mine
